Despite the tireless rain and bad weather, the Carnival parade started. In front of the walls of the Old City has performed more than 2,000 participants from 17 countries. From the announced 70 groups, only a few of them dropped. On the Main Stage the International Board awards FECC medals to Mayor Marko Carević and President of NGO “Feštađuni” Marija Pjerotić. Once again it has been proved that the rain does not stop the carnival. We followed all the carnival performances and awaited finale with fireworks.

For 17 years, the Carnival in Budva become much more than the parade of beautiful masks. For this, praises goes to the employees of the Municipality of Budva, and the Tourist Organization and members of non-governmental organizations “Feštađuni”, most notably Marija Pjerotić and Ljerka Dragičević that started this beautiful carnival story.
