13.04.2019.- Rakovica – Children’s Carnival Parade
Traditional children’s carnival parade is always a prelude to the Rakovica carnival. Children’s carnival was opened by Marion Hirche from Cottbus, Germany – Vice-President of the Federation of European Carnival Cities. 22 children’s carnival groups walked through Vidikovac. On the main stage, they have performed a long-trained choreographies. They were judged by a jury composed of all present guest, members of the FECC. Carnival groups were rated in three categories: best costumes, best performance and overall impression. The best children’s groups will represent the Rakovica carnival at carnivals in the country and abroad.
14.04.2019.- Rakovica – Reception of Vladan Kocic the President of the Municipality of Rakovica
Reception for guests and participants of the 7th Rakovica Carnival was organized at the Center for Culture and Education. Special guests of the carnival this year were all members of the International Board of the Federation of European Carnival Cities. Namely, in Rakovica there was a meeting of the FECC International Bord.
Apart from the groups from Serbia, carnival participants this year were groups from abroad, from Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Slovenia, Russia, Italy and Germany. On behalf of all the guests, the hosts thanked the FECC Vice-President Marion Hirche from Germany and awarded the Memorable Plaque „Memoria Vivat „ to the Rakovica Municipality. Thereafter, there was a traditional exchange of gift souvenirs.
14.04.2019.- Rakovica – 7th International Carnival Parade
Colorful costumes, clowns, masks on sticks, big mascots, dance, song, many children and a cheerful atmosphere marked the 7th International Rakovica Carnival.
Carnival parade were attended by 30 carnival groups from Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Russia, Italy, Slovenia and Germany. Carnival visitors and participants welcomed manager Aleksandar Vasovic and President of the FECC Lars Algell from Sweden. The event was opened by host, President of the Municipality of Rakovica Vladan Kocić.
All carnival groups presented choreographies on two stages along the carnival track at Vidikovac. The last carnival group was consisted of carnival visitors which were masked. The international jury chose five of the best masked visitors. They were awarded with a weekend for two people at “Villa Vertigo” on Bor Lake.
